Leah Smith was born and raised in Texas, but is now living in Philadelphia with her partner and two dogs. She has a Masters in Public Policy and is passionate about the rights of all, especially people with disabilities. Leah proudly identifies as a woman with a disability. Leah has been serving as the Director of Public Relations for Little People of America for the past three years. While in Texas, she worked at a Center for Independent Living, working to help people with disabilities move out of nursing homes and back into the community. Leah is also proficient in American Sign Language and takes a strong interest in cross-disability culture.

Ayisha Ashford (Former Camper/ Staff Member- Ayisha identifies as someone with a physical disability. She wants to help all girls find their true potential and learn about overcoming their disability.

Hey everyone my name is Becky, I've had the privilege to be a Her Power! participant from year ONE! It's been an amazing experience and now I get to be a staff member! Her Power! is an amazing event, the girls always have fun, meet new friends, and learn to be proud teen girl with a disability! I'm so excited for year eight of Her Power! and can't wait to meet all the girls it is going to be an amazing weekend full of fun activities and making new friends but most important becoming a proud young women with a disability!

HELLO! My names Iesha Reath! I've had the awesome opportunity to be a camper at Her Power and now I get to be a staff member! Her power is an amazing experience, campers get to learn about themselves, their disabilities, things they have in common with other campers and they have fun doing it!!! This is an Amazing camp and every year I feel blessed to be apart of it!

Hello! My name is Sonia Pamerleau. I was given a blessed opportunity to be a camper and a staff member for Her Power. Her Power gave me the chance to see what it meant to have a disability and how to really cherish the type of person you are inside and out. It's a blast to get to know other women who have a disability because it opens your eyes to a world where people can learn how to truly accept who you are as well as knowing that you can be happy with who you are no matter what. Her Power is an amazing camp to be at. It can change your life!

Hello my name is Abby Squires and this will be my 7th year with Her Power! and I couldn't be more excited! I look forward to this event every year! I can't wait meet our new campers! A little bit about me is I love music, animals and photography. I am usually quite and shy but Her Power! brings out the best in me. I love the outdoors, fishing, four wheeling and nature walks but also love staying indoors and reading a good book, watching movies or playing video games. See you at Her Power!!

Her dream is for every girl to find her voice, and for her to take pride in who she is. Theresa the Assistant Director at Michigan Disability Rights Coalition and founder of "Her Power! Her Pride! Her Voice!"
